  • We are extremely happy with the design Bronson Drafting and Design made for our multigenerational cabin at Kawkawa Lake. We met with Hudson on site, gave him our extensive wish list, and he managed to come up with an incredible plan—inside and out. Our building site is confined to 45’ width because of rock on both sides and, despite this limitation, the design maximizes our lake and mountain views to the fullest. The interior design is perfect for our large multigenerational family; as requested, it emphasizes main floor living, with the master bedroom facing the view. We also asked for a walk out basement, loft, fry kitchen, and lots of walk-in closets for storage throughout the home. Hudson came through on everything. Now, our parents, grown children, and grandchildren have lots of room in the basement and third floor for a very comfortable stay.

Getting Started

  • No, but we highly recommend bringing a builder on board early. Builders act as the quarterback for your project, ensuring the design fits your budget, recommending other professionals, coordinating with the municipality, and setting the team up for success. If you don’t have one yet, we’d be happy to recommend trusted professionals.

  • Designing your custom home is a team effort! Along the way, we’ll need a Surveyor, Structural Engineer, Energy Advisor, and Interior Designer to bring your vision to life. We’ll guide you through the process and are happy to recommend professionals we trust and collaborate with regularly.

  • It’s best to contact us as early as possible. We typically can’t start projects immediately, so the sooner we know about your plans, the easier it is to schedule and book your project.

The Design Process

  • Most projects take 3 to 6 months, depending on their complexity. We work at what we call “client speed,” adapting to your preferred pace to ensure a smooth and stress-free process. That said, great design takes time - rushing often leads to missed opportunities for refinement and creativity. We believe in balancing efficiency with thoughtful decision-making to create a home that truly reflects you.

  • Absolutely! Your input is key. We’ll work with you throughout the process to make sure the design reflects your vision, style, and goals.

  • No. Great design is a creative, hands-on process. We take an artistic, custom approach-thoughtfully designing each home to be timeless, personal, and crafted with intention.

  • We don’t secure permits or oversee construction. Your builder takes the lead on submitting plans and managing construction. Our job is to provide detailed, permit-ready drawings to make the process seamless for everyone involved.

  • Costs vary depending on the size and complexity of your project. We focus on creating high-quality, custom designs that reflect your vision and deliver exceptional value. After our initial consultation, we’ll provide a personalized estimate.

  • Yes! Every project at Bronson Design is fully developed in 3D using Revit and Lumion, giving clients a clear vision of their home before construction begins.
